Fancy gloves and stylish boots, everyone is driving, walking, standing, or looking at this magic time of the Holidays. We're in our zone, waiting for the countdown to 2011, which is not very far away. Only days from now...

If you are feeling left out because you don't have a job, you are not alone. But what you may not know is that you have what can get you to your next interview where you hear those magic words, "You're Hired!" You already possess what it takes. You have your smile, your confidence, your ability to put a nice outfit together, your resume, your ability to fill out appications, day in and day out. Don't get discouraged if it's been a while since you've gotten any invitation to interview. It takes time but your time to shine will always come!

Remember that no one can take your place. You do the work, get out there and seek employment, go to the computer lab and apply for jobs, until....then one day, like you, I hope to hear those words, "you're hired!" You are not alone, for the past four weeks I've been out there actively seeking employment almost six days a week, and I'm still out there, looking, asking, seeking...remember seek and ye shall find...

I hope your holidays are filled with a lot of freewill, there's a lot of people out there who have the right spirit of holiday in them...it doesn't cost to give a smile, lend a helping hand to someone coming off the bus...We are all in this together, let's shine together, one by one, shine...then share with those who haven't found their job yet. It too, will come to pass.

Did I light you up to keep going? Keep seeking? Keep job searching? I hope so.

You have something someone else needs; skills, wisdom, knowledge from your past employment, little things that you know that add up to a bigger bottom line for the company, you are valuable...May you ask yourself, "Am I ready for the Holidays?"

A MOTHER'S LOVE

Can you imagine what life would be life, without a Mother's Love?
Let's look in the 1st Book of Samuel, Chapter 1, verse 11, for an example
of A Mother's Love. Enter Hannah.
'I vow a vow, Lord of hosts, look in my heart, my voice is lost.
Give me a child. I will give him back to you. No razor on his head, oh Lord,
All the days of his life. No razor on his head, oh no', she prayed her soul.
Hannah, a mother who blessed the Lord, and the Lord visited Hannah with so much more!
Hannah conceived and bare 3 sons & 2 daughters
so they could bless the name of their dear Mother.

Let's go now to the Book of Luke, Chapter 1, verse 26, on thru;
Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost, that must have been scary
But Gabriel the angel of the Lord said to Mary,
'Fear not'
The blessed Savior, Jesus, is who you've got.
So Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ
who later died on Calvary
but in 3 days He rose with all power & might.
Mary, representing A Mother's Love,
Blessed among women from above.

Now we focus on our world today; we are all here on earth
because a woman became our Mother when she gave us birth.
Let's pray that this world is a better place, Because you are here
You, who are Mothers and I,
let's show love to our children & keep our heads to the sky,

For there's nothing like my Mother who showed me so much love.
She was strong & brave
And there's nothing like your Mother who did her best for you
with what she gave
And there's no one like YOU, Mother. You are praised & you are loved.
Smile, speak kind words & keep the word of God on your lips
Authentic Mommy, clothed in grace & style as you dance for swaying your hips!

For your children see you one way, but one day they may have to ask
As your spirit leaves for Heaven above
Could we ever imagine what life would be like, without a Mother's Love?

The New York Times could breathe again with the capture of
the car bomb suspect
And President Barack Obama didn't receive any criticism
while standing before our Country & taking care of business
Because he is the leader of this world, and our first Black President
Wow! We are changing lanes & it's exciting

The Lakers are playing and I recall the parade I
attended last year when they won the Championship
And Sugar Ray and Moseley just fought May 1st
Who won?
Wow! We are changing lanes & it's exciting

My first script, Janjay, would land me my first paid job
in Hollywood, and The African Channel, registered at The Writer's Guild
Because two prophets of God, called me out 2008 & 2010
to tell me that the God of this universe had a word for me
To write, write, write!

I felt a lot of joy when I saw Michelle Obama looking so beautiful. I agree, these are complicated times but I loved his presentation and am an American who wants to hope for a better America, DON'T GIVE UP!

Dear Oprah,

How are you? I am a fan of your television show and hope that destiny will connect our paths because of the following:

I would like to join the line-up for your OWN Cable station that you're starting up in 2011.

I had a dream that I was in your office, about 20 years ago, and we were talking about some things. Because it was a prophetic type dream I thought it centered around my being a guest on your show as an Author, as I have written a self-published book, Fragrance. Now I'm beginning to think that the dream had something to do with us talking about my new show on your cable station, OWN.

I am interested in hosting a talk show and am currently underway for my own radio show. Let's talk about this further. You can reach me on facebook.

Yes, we're getting blessed with already the first night down, and Prophet Prince is coming early tonight so please get there at 7pm.

Directions, go down Prairie (from Century) to Imperial, turn left on Imperial, as you drive down the street you will see a couple of small motels on your right (before Doty where the Cheveron gas station is), drive directly to your left and turn in the middle of the street between the two buildings in the alley where you will find parking behind the buildings.

The church doors will be open on the left side (facing the street). You are welcome and do not want to miss what teaching Prophet Prince has begun by saluting local churches/Pastors and the importance for us to plug into our church as that is where God will train you to find out what your spiritual gifts are and teach you how to grow into your spiritual gifts.

Prophet Prince also went around the room after teaching and some of us got hands laid on us to activate our gifts (yes! I felt the power of God), and then those of us taken to the altar by the ushers, Prophet Prince also placed anointed oil on us. With the Praise & Worship service, then the teaching and administration, I have to express to you that if you attend that your life will never been the same as the anointing breaks the yokes!

My most recent testimony is that I don't even look like the same person when I first encountered a service of Prophet Prince last year, so you'll just have to show up to see the beauty the anointing has created for me in my personal journey, which continues to my TOTAL RECOVERY!

Uzo is bold and preaches/sings/ministers the word of God. At 3:00 p.m. you will be so blessed to hear him take stage to sing, dance, testify, get you laughing and maybe even crying. Uzo is one of many artists at The McClaney GospelFest this Saturday, August 22nd. He will be the first one so please try to get there early.

Uzo is originally from Nigeria so you will feel comfortable wearing clothes from Africa or just some casual cool looking clothing. It get's colder toward the evening so please bring a sweater or shawl.

Uzo has a question for you; "What song on my cd do you like the best?" Yes, you can show him some love by buying his cd during and after his performance. I will be assisting him on making them available to you.

To the Honorable President Obama:

How does it feel to be the most powerful man in the Universe?! I thank God that you made it! Yes, I voted for you and yes, I believe in you.

Here's a reminder from scripture that 'the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but he that endures until the end'.

I loved watching you, First Lady Michelle and your two wonderful daughters, Sasha and Malia, take in and create this special historical event.

Mr. President, don't worry if there were words stumbled while taking your oath because God is going to bless you to do it again in FOUR MORE YEARS!!! Please select someone that will practice before and manage to get into the grove of how you speak....

Yes, I believe that you will lead our country for eight years. I didn't physically attend your Inauguration but I was truly there in spirit. I'm believing God that the next time around I will be there and nearby to see you sworn in again.

I realize that I'm being too futuristic and do not mean to minimize what you have to do to get this country into better shape, but visions and prophecies can come and must be uttered even before it is time....I prophecy in God's name that you will be our President for two terms!

Mr. President, also in the scriptures is that 'faith is the substance of things hoped for'....I am hopeful that as you lead our Country that my life will shine brighter and I will contribute as an American in ways I never have before. You have inspired me to stop leading a mediocre existence and to give to humanity all the talents and skills God has blessed me with (which are many!).

We represent Manu's International Production and Princene Productions. Our goal is to attract financial support for our film project. Attached is the projected budget for $13,000 investment.

Our main objective is to produce an exciting and dramatic ten minute videotape that promotes Queen's Film and Media. We will attempt to give direction to, and answer likely questions from, high school students and first-year university students.

A relaxed, yet energetic and engaging, narrator will introduce the film and act as a walk-through guide. We will begin with a critical analysis of one film, as an example of how we look at films as a whole The concept of Janjay is derived from life experiences from an African perspective. (followed by a division into the areas of film and television history, theory, criticism and production. These divisions should emphasize the well-rounded nature of a film degree which offers both the practical, hands-on courses and a theoretical base.) The interviews will include ideas on women in film, African film, Hollywood film, and also media and advertising in popular culture. The emphasis should be on the ability of film studies to satisfy a wide range of interests including history, sociology, politics and economics.

While reinforcing the theoretical and critical side of Film and Media, we should be sure to maintain a consistent portrayal of the close-knit film African community that is having fun studying and making films. The interviews will be justaposed with images of various activities such as editing a second-year video, shooting a third-year 16mm production, or recognizing an accomplishment at the annual film studies awards night.

The film should be fast-paced and engaging, but with an emphasis on the fact that Janjay is more than just watching movies. The conclusion will be the narrator's summary of actual professions that Special emphasis will be placed on students who have won awards in the industry, who have become teachers and professors, or who have started their own successful film companies. Viewers should be left with a perception that Film and Media opens up career possibilities by encouraging the critical thinking that is important in any pursuit.

President Bush got a shoe thrown at him during a press conference in Iraq. And another shoe.

I don't endorse that kind of behavior and wish none of my Presidents, former or future, any disrespect as this.

If that was a foretelling of what President Elect Barack Obama has to deal with, then I am very outraged to see that this United States of America has to deal with that kind of disrespect.

I think Barack would catch the shoe and toss it back....and then security would have a field day with the thrower. But let's not go there, SECRET SERVICE MEN, DO YOUR JOB. Don't let anything that could hurt our Presidents get a chance to even leave someone's hand.

President Bush commented that it was a size ten. I'm so happy that he was alive to comment anything.

Re: TESTIMONY - Experiencing the Lovingkindness of God in my life:

My story began when my son, Aaron, was born in Portland, Oregon. You see I was separated from my Husband and living back at home and Aaron came through a Cesarean birth. Aaron had entered this world and instead of me naming him after his Father or mine (although their names are his middle name), I remembered a young Preacher who visited my high school who inspired me and others there not to get involved in drugs...Rev. Aaron's Johnson's Campaign, "Drugs is a Drag" is what brought him to our school's assembly but then he reached out to me as Black Student Union President and other Black students there (we sponsored the assembly) to come and hear him speak at his Father-in-law's church, Maranatha. I went to hear Rev. Johnson and he singled me out and had me stand up as the congregants greeted me warmly. He was besides being a handsome man, kind to me and genuine in his message. I felt special because I was not getting any male attention at that time and his attention gave me a better self-image. I forgot about him but then remembered him when I was feeling very low during my son's birth and since my son brought so much joy to me, I decided to name him Aaron.

Why would I give birth to such a baby? Where was God in all of this when I was feeling bad having moved back home after I gave birth to my second child to my husband? I thought that life was bad, but then it got worse when my son, while I breastfeed him, would shoot the milk out like he was in the movie, The Exorcist! It frightened me but then when my Father, sister, cousin and I were sitting in the kitchen area, Aaron stopped breathing and began to turn blue! I was beside myself as he gasped for air! My Father, also a Minister, yelled "Quick, go get the syringe!" I ran upstairs to get the syringe, brought it down to the kitchen and my Father began to suck out the excess mucus with the syringe so that Aaron could breath again. With that we went to the hospital several times just to hear one Doctor say that Aaron had a bad cold, but then another Doctor wanted to give him some more tests and that's when it was discovered that Aaron had Pyloric Stenosis, which is the closing of the pylori tube so that food and liquids could not go down to his stomach. This required an operation, and I was watching over him in the meantime just in case he could not breath and I would use the syringe on him. When we got to the hospital for Aaron's surgery, his Father had arrived to but we were not on much speaking terms. At this time that was so vital to our son's life, we could not even hug each other although the fear was present as we dreaded the outcome. I remember standing in the hallway and the nurse literally firmly taking Aaron out of my arms, then me collapsing to my knees in the middle of the floor, yelping, feeling so weak and defeated! My sister and cousin helped me up and then we waited for hours for the surgery to be performed. Finally, the Doctor came out and he told us that Aaron would be fine! Although his Father and I divorced when I moved to California a few months after that time (and ironically, for me to attend my Sister's church, also named Maranatha), I remember smiling and thanking GOD for showing his LOVINGKINDNESS in allowing Aaron to live and get better.

God didn't just stop there! Recently, on July 19, 2008, I was blessed to become the GRANDMOTHER of Malachi, my son's son!

I see him as a continuous pursuit on God's part to show me that in spite of my life, my heartbreaks, my wrong decisions, my straying away and coming back to him several times, that God's hand was on Aaron's life (named after someone I never even saw again in my life but someone who touched me as a young teen), and now Aaron kept up the legacy by naming his son Malachi Aaron Elam. The name, Aaron, thou scriptural, was not a part of our family history on either side, but it is a reminder that when God wants to do something new and bright in our lives, he allows certain names to come into existence.

I believe that Malachi will be taught in the ways of the Lord (as his birth brought healing to my relationship with my son and my daughter-in-law) and although Malachi was born with one enlarged kidney, I see the promises of God all around him as he grows stronger, he's already plucking the piano that they put before him, and like his Mom who is an excellent singer, singing background to Natalie Cole and most recently Yolanda Adams along with her twin, I believe this is God's way of letting me know that JESUS is my LOVEJONES!!! I am the only remaining female Boyd in my family as my sister has passed and never got to see her grandchildren, and my Mother passed ten days after 9/11 and left behind great grandchildren. My brothers here at New Dawn encouraged me at the Mid-Week Service, Brothers Nat Sullivan and Rev. Ruffin Swain, to share this story. I hope you are blessed to see that God does not start something for just one generation, but from generation to generation his plan unfolds. Even with God choosing the churches with the same name, and I am now a member of New Dawn Christian Village who also has relationships with both churches of my past, and my son is currently a Member at Maranatha in California whose Pastor raised my son up as an infant (who was also in baby care with Apostle Fred Price's Mother as an infant) and now Aaron's son, Malachi, shares the same birthday as the Pastor, it inspires me to remember ......

A LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD is the BEST THING that can ever happen in my life and in yours too!!!

I am truly blessed to have this man as my Pastor. My first Pastor in life was my Father, Reverend Eugene Boyd, Jr. My second was my former brother-in-law, Dr. Billy Ingram of Maranatha Community Church where my sister, the late Margaurite Ingram Bamimore, wrote their theme song that they are still singing today, "Maranatha."

I have had some African Pastors along the way. Dr. Anyonmi from Ghana, Portland International Church, and even though not an African but creator of the organization "Save Africa's Children" I was a member at Dr. Charles Blake's West Angeles Church of God in Christ, for seven years. That path eventually led me to leaving there. One day in February I wwatching a show during Black History Month where New Dawn Christian Village was featured. That's when I saw Frank Wilson, and remembered when he and his lovely wife, P. Bunny Wilson, came to New Beginnings in Oregon and I went there to see them speak and Minister, many years ago.

I joined New Dawn on Mother's Day of 2005, and haven't looked back since. This is an environment where they specialize in building successful relationships among the Body of Christ and also in our personal journey. In fact I'm attending a class there, A Journey To Oneness, where couples and those of us hoping to get married again some day, can go and talk about real life situations guided by a Communication book that we use.

Overall, I recommend that you come to our services SUNDAY and begin your journey of wholeness.

We cannot do much here on earth, without acknowledging our Mother. She came to earth on The Mothership, arrived with a slap and a cry only to grow from an infant to eventually a woman who could receive and then decide to cooporate with Mother Nature to carry you on, and out to sea on the Mothership of 9 months of worry, eating, nourishing, taking vitamins, refraining from drinking and smoking and expanding her ship that carriee just to cast you out on shore to this world...

Yes, she's The Mothership; She was only responsible for carrying you out to the edge and then coming back again, carrying you while you rested in her equastic waters, floating, swimming (in your head), playing, punching, kicking, wooing, listening to The Mothership's signals that were sweet, familiar, loud, blurry, and her movements that without them you would not be able to keep your sanity....

You were 'bout to be born. The Mothership gave you that last push or gushed you from her belly....Thus ended her Mission...The Mothership has set sail again, to find another sperm to bring you a gift in form of a sister or brother.

What should you do to honor your Vessel of Deliverance? Some Motherships have been parked forever in eternity, some are still carrying to you other siblings, some are older and just need some 'ship' detail cleaning, need some attention, need someone to remember and visit The Mother of the Mothership....Give her some flowers, a smile, some help, some attention an email, a call....

The Mothership gave you what you needed when you needed it the most. Once you got into the earth's atmosphere, she could have just walked away and say, "I've done my job, you are now on your own!" No, that's not what the Mothership did...That ship docked, and she walked out of that vessel and gave you her spirit, her soul, her intelligence, her emotions, her carresses, her smile, her laughter....she gave you her all, even to the point with The Captain of her ship felt like he was in second place, for even with or without the permanent presence of her Captain, she still knew that she had to take you farther, until she could take you no more.....

Then over time, the tides turned; The strong, vibrant Mothership was wearing out, wearing down, she was not as swift in her mind or as strong in her body as you once knew as a child. You find out that she cannot carry you any more so easily although what she can share is a word of encouragement or simple words like, "That's my boy!" or "That's my girl!" She shouts this even when you are an adult, have your own family and responsibilities.

The Mothership's role changes; she's out there in the middle of the ocean all alone and does not know which way to turn anymore...She's carried out her load and she's been a faithful carrier and supporter but something has changed. The Mothership is in trouble, she needs help! Her ship is not sinking but she needs help! Help from the same people she carried to earth. Help in the same areas where she once supplied, she once stood tall and defended...now she needs supplied, she needs to be defended, but often, too often, The Mothership is ABANDONED, she's taken out to sea to DISAPPEAR, so that those who look about her current state and are embarrassed, don't have to view or remember her.

The Mothership is OBSOLETE. Afterall, she did her duty and now she is up for retirement against her strong will. Only The Mothership knows that she is still carrying deposits of gold, and rich oil and diamonds; TREASURES...they are deeply hiden inside her ship, and all she needs is some help, some attention, some one to help her dig out her wealth.

But often she will sail alone, with no one really caring anymore, not understanding that the best is yet to come out of her, not The Mothership anymore but the Angelship as she advances into glory to see HER LORDSHIP, who says, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant..."

The Mothership gets her rewards, her jewels, her riches, her oil, not by the earthly population but the heavenly ones....

Oh, Mothership, carry me to my destination, only this time, may I treasure you while you are still here on earth for you are not be put out to sea prematurely and to the expense of neglecting you or your treasures....I LOVE YOU MOTHERSHIP!!!

I would like to say that having God in my life is changing me...I seem to lose my focus, my direction so easily, as sheep do, but I have set in parameters like my church, my Pastor, and those praying spirit-filled people of God. Yes, it was inevitable, that God would hear my prayer...for a 'ram in the bush' type of man.

He came through at the nick of time, fresh off the airplane from a business trip, and coming in to take me out that night to several places. The African food and hospitality was soooo good!

We had our first battle as couples do....and I told him that he won that one....(laughter).

I hope to post our photo soon. Right now it's all so new that it is to be taken carefully as it is like a new born baby, very fragile.

We have a very important thing in common...we both confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. From that perhaps we have enough to build upon....

I asked for a 'ram' and that is what I got. So if he is the way he is right now, then I can't wait to see what God is going to do in him. Women cannot change men but they can prayer for their man and watch God move in his life.

Time will tell for me to find out how he really feels about me but he's done a noble thing already and let's pray for us (you out there) and see what God will do next.

He's my African man! Guess his country?

Margaurite is celebrating her Birthday today in Heaven!!! July 11th. She came to this earth to rise up to be a star and now that she's gone, her children, songs, and legacy live on!!! It's a dawning of a new day in our lives (song by Dr. Frank Wilson). Pastor Frank of New Dawn Christian Village www.ndcv.org who was a crusader along with Margaurite, they used their musical producing and writing skills for Christ....Margaurite had more songs to write, but the ones she wrote were so outstanding that the Lord called her home to be a part of that great section of musicians to greet us when we arrive in Heaven...that is if we have accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Lord and Savior...Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Why not do it on my sister's birthday? She's at peace right now but I'm sure she prayed for all of us before she left, to find Christ...cancer took her body but it did not take her spirit!!! Margaurite is alive today in spirit! Please feel free to leave a comment about your memories of this short timer giant on earth. The impact that she had on our lives, if we would just stop and think about all those things she said to us, should get us all on our knees to thank the Lord that we still have time to get it fixed in 2006....I love you Margaurite, Happy Birthday!
